It has been revealed that Enzo Maresca informed Chelsea of his desire to quit as manager immediately after the disappointing draw with Bournemouth. That match, which finished 2-2, proved to be the Italian’s final game at the helm. He did not, however, get to walk away on his own terms. The axe eventually fell at the start of 2026, with Chelsea back in the market for a new head coach. They are being heavily linked with Liam Rosenior, who is currently calling the shots at Ligue 1 side Strasbourg - one of the Blues’ sister clubs.Movement could, however, have happened at the end of 2025.
